Korean Demilitarized Zone
Underground Bath House
The design is beyond the division of North- and South Korea. Two halves of the circle are joined to form a whole on the Demarcation Line.
Through the continuous rotation of the building the border from North to South Korea is lifted. After entering the building, the visitor no longer knows in which part of Korea he is.
The circle was chosen as the basic symbol, since it has no beginning, no end, and therefore no boundaries. The circle serves as a symbol for a further small step towards reunion to One Korea that is more than the sum of the both parts.
